Deanna McFarland
Erie native and Central High alumna, Deanna McFarland joined Erie's Public Schools in 2020-2021 as a schoolwide specialist at Jefferson Elementary School. She is now the principal at Grover Cleveland Elementary School.
"As an educational leader, I have a responsibility to the EPS community, and specifically the students of Grover Cleveland Elementary, to constantly reflect and examine my own beliefs and values as it pertains to educating with an equitable mindset," McFarland said. "It is my intention to be authentic, present, and thoughtful about the decisions I make each day. I aspire to lead with empathy, compassion and at the same time maintain a laser focus on improving student outcomes. It is a full circle moment for me to be back in Erie and leading in the same district I graduated from many years ago."
