Dr. Leatra B. Tate
Dr. Leatra B. Tate was elected to the Erie School Board in 2021 and served through December 2022.
"An Erie native, I aim to turn my passion for educational equity, cultural competency, and community engagement into policy and practice that works to improve the quality of education for all students in Erie’s Public Schools," she wrote, describing her goals and philosophy. "I understand that the only way to progress is together; that requires meeting the unique social and educational needs of our students to increase their opportunities to thrive in our city and beyond."
