Lincoln Elementary School is a neighborhood public school located in Southeast Erie, Pennsylvania. We currently have approximately 500 students enrolled in Pre-K through Grade Five. The children and families in our school community represent a diverse cross section of many different cultures, ethnic groups, and languages. Forty-three percent of our students are minorities. Lincoln Elementary is one of the schools in the Erie School District that has an English as a Second Language Program. We educate children from eleven different countries that speak eight different languages. Lincoln Elementary is a school that provides instruction for English as a Second Language (ESL). Our ESL program educates children from eight countries who speak eight different languages.
Lincoln Elementary School has eighteen dedicated and experienced classroom teachers, six special education teachers, one English Language Learner teacher, two school-wide specialists, and an instructional coach. We are also one of five elementary schools in the district that have Emotional Support and Life Skills classrooms. In addition we have a guidance counselor, speech therapist, nurse and a behavior specialist to assist our students with various needs.
Lincoln Elementary School is a community of educators and learners committed to achievement, citizenship, and excellence. We focus on caring and respect for ourselves, and others, striving for academic success, and pursuing educational and personal development. Our vision is to create a positive learning environment to educate all students effectively. Each student is expected to achieve at a high level of academic performance, function effectively in the community, and contribute to the broader society.
