Trees Get an Upgrade
As part of the
AP with WE service initiative coordinated by the College Board, the
Advanced Placement Environmental Science students pruned the trees on the
State Street boulevard from 26th to 32nd streets. The tree pruning lesson
was given by Sarah Galloway, Erie City Arborist. The purpose of pruning the
trees is to improve their health by removing dead/diseased branches and
increase visibility for motorists. Urban trees, particularly those on a
boulevard, can experience harsh weather conditions and vehicle pollution. Check out the new look!
