College Campus Field Trips
GO College students are given the opportunity to visit local and regional colleges and universities.
Workshops
GO College students attend informative monthly workshops by grade that focus on building the skills required to succeed in high school, college, and life.
Tutoring
Tutoring is available to ALL students at Erie High School and provided Monday through Friday in Room 200. Tutors are current Gannon University students who specialize in multiple subjects.
College Applications and Financial Aid AssistanceGO College students are provided assistance with filling out college applications, crafting scholarship essays, registering for and taking both the ACT and SAT, completing the FAFSA, etc.
Community Service Learning
GO College students enjoy multiple opportunities to participate in community service, including serving as peer mentors at SVMS, assisting at school-related events, and volunteering at any Gannon University service learning event.
Summer Camps
Each July GO College offers a free one-week incoming freshman camp and a four-day incoming senior camp, both hosted at Gannon University.
Freshman CampThe one-week intensive program held in July is designed to give students a jump start on their freshman year and help them become familiar with high school. Students participate in workshops and activities Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Activities include field trips to area sites like the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, Zoos, Museums and presentations by Gannon University faculty. GO College covers all program expenses, including supplies, meals, and transportation to and from activities. Transportation to and from Gannon University is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.Senior Camp
The four-day senior camp held in July includes workshops on financial aid, researching and applying to post-secondary institutions, scholarships and more. The culminating event is an overnight campus visit to a regional university. GO College covers all program expenses, including supplies, meals, hotel rooms and transportation to and from activities. Transportation to and from Gannon University is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
