Hello, my name is Miss Sarah Till!

I teach chemistry at Erie High. My goal as a teacher is to instill in my students a desire to explore the world around them, and learn what it means to think and act like a scientist. Additionally, I want my students to know the career and post-secondary options that lie ahead of them after high school. Technology is an important component of my class; students learn to utilize online resources to tie real-world phenomena and experiences in with their learning while maintaining integrity in online research. Students will explore and storyline their learning throughout each unit and tie it back to a central phenomenon or real-world process that is explained by the topics we are learning in chemistry. Overall, I love seeing students achieve and become interested in the sciences, and explore the opportunities and pathways to success after high school.

My path has led me from graduating from McDowell High School in 2019, to Gannon University with my Bachelor's in Biology Secondary Education in 2023, to currently working on my Master's degree in Biodiversity and Conservation Management through the University of Wisconsin. I have an extensive background in scientific research, and, as such, emphasize research on real-world phenomena that can be explained through scientific principles and lab exercises as incredibly vital supporting material in your child's learning throughout chemistry.
