Rising 9th Grade Summer Experience

During the three day Talent Search Summer Experience, students entering the 9^th grade will visit local colleges and technical schools, giving students a first look at the activities offered through the Talent Search Program at Erie High School. In addition, the students get a unique opportunity to speak to Erie High upperclassmen, and take a guided tour around the building. All expenses are covered by the Talent Search Program.

Upward Bound Math and Science – Penn State Behrend Summer College Campus Experience

The Upward Bound Summer Program is a six-week residential, co-ed summer program for high school students that is held on the campus of Penn State Behrend.

• Classes in Math, Science, English, Foreign Language
• Weekly themes in Medical, STEM, Technology and College Navigation
• Visits to colleges in the Tri-State area
• Fun filled evening activities
• College Major exploration
• Team building activities
• Presentations from local professionals

Talent Search- Penn State Behrend Summer College Campus Experience

Students get the experience of living five days and four nights on Penn State Behrend’s campus, all costs cover by Talent Search. Students get to engage in the following activities:

• Leadership and Team Building skills and activities
• Career Exploration
• Classes and workshops taught by Behrend faculty
• Admissions and Financial Aid Presentations
• Participation in a Community Service Project
• Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming and other Rec Center activities
