LATEST! Strategic Plan Focus Groups (In-person sessions on Dec. 4, 2025, virtual sessions on Dec. 11, 2025)

Erie's Public Schools held a series of Strategic Plan Focus Groups in person and virtually, offering various stakeholder groups the opportunity to provide valuable feedback on our mission, vision, values and goals as we continue our work on the Strategic Plan. The focus groups were advertised publicly and included EPS teachers, staff, students, parents, business leaders and community influencers. 

Nov. 13, 2025: Strategic Plan Steering Committee Meeting 2

Members of the Steering Committee began work on shaping the mission, vision, goals and values that will drive our strategic plan. While the work began at this meeting, it will broaden to include the voices of various stakeholders. Parents, students, district teachers and staff, business leaders and community leaders will all be invited to participate in upcoming focus groups designed to elicit their feedback.

Oct. 30, 2025: Strategic Plan Steering Committee Meeting 1 

The inaugural meeting of the Strategic Plan Steering Committee was held Oct. 30 at the district administration building, 1910 Sassafras St. Led by our partners at K12 Coalition, members of the committee viewed examples of strategic plans from school districts across the United States and evaluated the strengths and opportunities presented by each. This exercise helped committee members become familiar with various components of a strategic plan, including a district's mission, vision, values and goals.
