    Erie's Public Schools utilizes Amplify Core Knowledge Language Arts® (CKLA) curriculum and instruction to teach social studies in grades K-5.  Students build subject-area knowledge in social studies by learning to read and write using high-quality instructional materials built on the science of reading.
