In January 2018, Erie's Public Schools embarked on a comprehensive 5-year strategic planning process to guide and improve our critical work of educating Erie’s students. This stakeholder-driven process offered the entire Erie community an opportunity to articulate our collective vision, goals, and roadmap for Erie’s Public Schools. The district contracted with Performance Fact, Inc., an organization with extensive experience in strategic planning and community engagement, to facilitate the strategic planning exercise during the winter and spring months of 2018. On June 20, 2018, the Board of Directors of School District of the City of Erie approved the final strategic plan document and authorized the distirct administration to begin implementing the plan in time for the 2018-19 school year. The board and administration is grateful to the hundreds of teachers, parents, students and community members who lent their voice to this plan.
