I teach ecology at Erie High. My goal as a teacher is to instill in my students a desire to explore the world around them, and learn what it means to explore the world around us and learn. Additionally, I want my students to know the career and post-secondary options that lie ahead of them after high school. Technology is an important component of my class; students learn to utilize resources such as Google and YouTube to supplement their classroom lessons and will work through Schoology to complete classroom assignments. Labs and simulations will be utilized throughout the year to help students to better understand what they learn in the notes and apply these practical concepts in a laboratory setting.
