Meet the Coaches!
Milton Robinson
Head Coach
Hurdles, Distance and Mid-Distance, High Jump
Milton Robinson has been coaching Track and Field for Erie's Public Schools since 2003. He started as an assistant under Head Coach Chris Poppa at East
High School. He became a head coach the following year and, with the help of a talented and dedicated staff, cultivated the sport at East for the next 13 years.
When Erie High formed in 2017, he joined the staff as a head coach of the second-largest varsity program in the School district of the City of Erie.

Elaine Benson
Head Coach
All Throws (Shot Put, Discus, Javelin)
Elaine Benson has been coaching Track and Field in the City of Erie for the past 45 years. She was the Head Varsity Coach at the former Academy and Central Tech High Schools for most of her coaching career before becoming a co-head coach at Erie High in 2017. She has coached numerous district 10 champions and championship teams during her tenure. As the most storied and enduring member of our staff, she brings invaluable experience to Erie High's Program.

Michael Cutter
Assistant Coach
All Throws (Shot Put, Discus, Javelin)
Michael Cutter has coached Track and Field for Erie's Public Schools since 2002. He started as an assistant under Head Coach Chris Poppa at East High
School. He became a head coach in 2004, and helped grow East's program over the next 13 years. He joined Erie High's program in 2017 as an assistant specializing in the
throwing events, arguably the most technical and physically challenging events in Track and Field.

Jason Lombardo
Assistant Coach
Pole Vault
This will be Jason Lombardo's 9th year coaching Track and Field for Erie's Public Schools, and 15th year coaching the sport indoor and outdoor
regionally. Prior to the formation of Erie High, Jason coached at the former Strong Vincent High School. Coach Lombardo brings a wealth of experience and knowledge
to Erie High's program, specifically in the pole vault event. His record includes district and state champions, as well as nationally ranked
competitors.

Brian Morgan
Assistant Coach
All Sprints, All Sprint Relays, All Jumps
Brian Morgan has coached high school track and field for the past 20+ years. Brian is the program's sprint and sprint-relay specialist, as well as the horizontal jump coach. He previously coached for Erie's Public School's at the former Strong Vincent High School. He has also coached track and field for Cathedral Preparatory School, Villa Maria Academy, and Mercyhurst Preparatory School. Brian's experience, talent and dedication are an essential part of our program's strength.
