WEIGHTING AND GRADE-POINT AVERAGES

A system of computing grade-point averages and class ranking for high school students is used to inform students, parents, and others of a graduates relative academic placement among peers under relatively similar circumstances. Courses listed asAdvanced Placement and Honors shall be weighted by awarding extra quality-point value as shown in the following table:
