• Calculating Your GPA

    1. Look at your percentage grade for each of your classes.
    2. Using the chart on the right, write the grade point average for each class. Use half of that number for half-credit classes.
    3. Add all values.
    4. Divide by the total credits you are taking.

    Here is an example for a ninth-grade student:

  • Grading System

    Collegiate Academy uses a 4.0 scale for VPA classes, a 4.5 scale for honor classes, and a 5.5 maximum scale for AP classes.

    All electives are honors-level classes. VPA core classes — language arts, math, science and social studies — have a 4.0 scale.
