Choose one article a day.  Discuss with family the questions and keep your answers in your world news notebook.

Please find and read the article from epidemiologist Larry Brilliant titled "The Doctor who helped us defeat smallpox explains what's coming next."  Use your current issues graphic organizer to complete an article summary.  Be sure to discuss your findings with family and friends.

once logged in: Click "labs" from the left hand menu, click on the desired Leader Lab tile, then click "Watch the Lab" to view the video.  Click the right hand arrow on the side of the screen to navigate through the videos and questions. 

Examine the Chick-Fil-A leadership academy website.  Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy is a national high school leadership program focused on impact through action.  The world needs more leaders who impact their communities and I believe high school students are the answers. 

Complete all questions related to each world news article.  You may type up your answers and send them to me via email at wwright@eriesd.org.  Complete all questions regarding the daily news article and submit via email as well.  Each Friday examine the Political Cartoon and discuss with family members.  Complete the weekly news quiz and submit answers via email.

Watch daily CNN 10 news videos with Carl Azuz and complete graphic organizer.  On Friday be sure to take the weekly news quiz.  Feel free to use your notes that where taken with each daily video. 

Continue with the progression of building your portfolio.  Remember! Log in is eriesd and your lunch number followed by your infinite campus password.  If you do not remember your log in information feel free to email me at wwright@eriesd.org and I will get back to you.  At this stage of the class you should be on artifact 7.  Over the next two weeks you are to complete Artifact 7 (Career Clusters and Pathways), Artifact 8 (Experiencing Careers While Still in School) and Artifact 9 Selecting Your Career Goal.  Continue wroking on Artifact 1.  Several students have not completed all questions and/or the Gathering Your Thoughts section.  You need to have a minimum of 100 words on all Gathering Your Thoughts in order to achieve full credit.
