The 2023-2024 school year is my 20th year as a public educator.  This is my 17th year in the Erie Public School District.  I taught social studies at Strong Vincent and East High Schools before becoming an Erie High Royal.  In 2022, I committed to Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy.  I have instructed on many subjects such as American History, World History, Government, Psychology, Sociology, Geography, and Current Issues. 

Throughout my career I have developed an array of experience that has allowed me to grow as a teacher.  My educational philosophy is that I believe all students are capable of learning.  They all do not learn at the same rate, but with different methods and strategies it is possible.  Students should not be thought of as mindless individuals just waiting to be filled with knowledge from their teacher.  Quite the opposite; students should be viewed as individuals who can contribute to the classroom, sharing and gaining knowledge from each other.  An education is not just solely academic; the teachers must also educate their students through teaching them the skills needed to solve problems throughout their lives and by teaching them the skills needed to work productively with others. I believe teachers should not be alone in educating students but that parents, families and communities need to be involved as well.  This website page will help to facilitate my instruction online in the event that we need to communicate via email and website due to the inability to meet in the classroom.
