Letter to Parents/Guardians and Students
Posted by Annavie Azul on 9/5/2024Dear Student and Parent or Guardian,
I hope this email finds you and your family well.
I am writing to inform you about the exciting project through our Project-based Learning that the students will be doing this semester in our Recovery-Math class.
The students will take on the role of financial planners to create financial plans for goals such as retirement, college tuition, and mortgage reduction. The students will apply their understanding of basic mathematical and financial principles and formulas.
We need your cooperation and support for this project. They may interview you or other families and ask about financial goals. They may also do some research into families’ income and expenses. With the information that they will gather, they will recommend savings and investment plans using algebraic, graphical, and table representations. They will follow confidentiality agreements and will not use families’ real names in their financial projects.
We are hoping that this project will enable them to prepare for their future and attain financial wellness.
Please take note of the following schedule:
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Mrs. Azul
