I am excited to begin this new adventure in my teaching career!! Although I have taught a long time, teaching in this format is new to me. I look forward to the Cyber component as well as getting to know you when you come into the building. I have spent much of my 24-year career in the Middle School setting. Most of it has been in 6th grade Math, but I have taught a few other grades and subjects along the way. My current position at the PJD at Emerson Gridley building I will be teaching 7th and 8th grade Mathematics.
While teaching younger grades, I always said memorizing your multiplication facts could be the simplist way to make your Math life easier! That doesn't change in 7/8 grade. I suggest you memorize them until you can say the answers without even thinking. There are several apps, games, and websites that you can use to practice. Or you can go old school and use paper and pencil or flashcards.
