The Application Process 

Completing the application will be easier if you gather the following information ahead of time. You cannot save your progress once you've begun the application — please gather all necessary materials before you begin. The process should take about an hour. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

All test scores and grades will be verified.

(1) Standardized test scores

This is the first part of the application, and you cannot proceed until you've entered your scores.

Please read the following information carefully — the process is different depending on whether you attend one of Erie's Public Schools or a school outside the district.

• Standardized test scores for students who attend one of Erie's Public Schools. Students who currently attend one of Erie's Public Schools do not need to enter this information. The admissions committee will enter each student's projected score, which we will get from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. This projection is based on statistical evidence from previous standardized testing and represents what the state believes your score would have been if you had taken the Keystone exams. Again, if you currently attend one of Erie's Public schools, you do not have to enter this information — your projected score will be placed in your application packet by the admissions committee at Collegiate Academy.
• Standardized test scores for students who attend a public school that is NOT one of Erie's Public Schools (such as county public schools, charter schools, and homeschooled students). Please contact your current school's guidance counselor or main office and ask them for your Keystone projection for math and reading. Enter those numbers in the Standardized Test Scores section of the online application. 
• Standardized test scores for students who attend a private school. You may submit standardized test scores from 6th or 7th grade (TerraNova, Stanford, PLAN, or SAT 8/9). National Percentile Rank (NPR or NP) will be used to interpret standardized test scores for total reading and math.

If you do not attend one of Erie’s Public Schools, you must provide documentation for your standardized test scores. You can mail them to the school or email them to collegiateadmissions@eriesd.org. Your application will not be considered complete until you have turned in these hard copies.

Students in Erie’s Public Schools do not have to provide documentation.

(2) Grades

You will need to enter your final grades from last year (7th grade) in language arts, math, science, and history/social studies, as well as your current grades (8th grade) in those subjects. If you do not have that information, you can get it from your school's guidance counselor or main office.

If you do not attend one of Erie’s Public Schools, you must provide documentation of your seventh- and eighth-grade transcripts. You can mail them to the school or email them to collegiateadmissions@eriesd.org. Your application will not be considered complete until you have submitted this documentation.

Students in Erie’s Public Schools do not have to provide documentation — the admissions committee can verify your grades through Infinite Campus.

(3) Recommendation

You will need to provide the full name and email address of the person who will complete the online recommendation form for you. He or she must be someone outside of your family. Good choices are teachers, principals, guidance counselors, and coaches. That person will receive an email with a link to the recommendation form, so be sure to ask them if they are willing to complete the recommendation for you.

(4) Honors, awards, and extracurricular activities

Gather information about any activities or community service that you have completed, and any awards or honors that you have achieved.
