Speech and Debate Club
Advisor: Nate Freed
Speech and Debate involves two different kinds of competitions: speech competitions and debate competitions. Within these two categories, students can compete in many different kinds of speech competitions (such as reciting pieces of literature or doing dramatic interpretations) and many different kinds of debate competitions (such as two-on-two debates or one-on-one debates).
The team typically meets Mondays and Thursdays after school, but much of the work requires practicing on one's own time. The team attends competitions at high schools around our region during the fall, winter, and spring.
