Meet the Teacher: Mrs. Karen Brennan
Hello! My name is Mrs. Karen Brennan and I am so happy to be your student's First Grade teacher!
I am originally from south of Pittsburgh, Waynesburg, PA, and came to Erie to attend Mercyhurst College, now Mercyhurst University. I received my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Newborn through Grade Three. I also received my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University.
I am married, I have 2 children, and a goldendoodle. I enjoy teaching as well as singing and performing. I have performed in various musical productions at the Erie Playhouse, Station Dinner Theater, and the Riverside Inn. I have sung the National Anthem for the Erie Seawolves and Erie Otters. I also had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Philadelphia Phillies.
This is my twenty-fourth year of teaching. I have taught at Jefferson for 16 of those years and I could not be happier! I was also honored to be selected by the faculty as the Jefferson School 2012- 2013 Teacher of the Year! We have an amazing faculty and staff that makes Jefferson School the wonderful school that it is where, "Bronco's Bring their Best!"
