Strange Days Drawing Journal
Hi Kiddos! Strange Days indeed! With everything the way it is these days I just hope you all are staying creative and active. Summer time is coming and its play time. It's a strange an interesting time we're in now. If, in between playing and being outside, you think of it, take a note book and start writing and drawing pictures in it. Describe what your days this summer are like and what youre thinking and feeling. This is a very unusual time in that people are living in. It will be cool for you to look back and remind yourself of what this time was like as you lived it. Make sure to draw lots of pictures, even if you don't draw to well.
While youre at it, take a look at this video and get some ideas how to use your journal to make really cool art. You don't have to be able to draw to do the activities.

(4th Grade) Schoolhouse Rocks!
School House Rocks was a series of cartoons that taught kids about all kinds of things like language, history, health, and government. They were mostly shown in between cartoons on Saturday morings.
Watch the attached cartoons, take note of the way they use a song to tell the story, notice how very simple the drawings are, and look for anything that makes you laugh as you watch.
These two cartoons are classics that taught kids about the American Revolutionary War.
