Welcome back everyone! I will once again be sharing with you our monthly Positive Public Service Campaign entitled "WHAT'S YOUR SUPERPOWER?" based on Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligence. Multiple intelligence refers to a theory describing the different ways students learn and acquire information. These multiple intelligences range from the use of words, numbers, pictures and music to the importance of social interactions, introspection, physical movement and being in tune with nature. The following YouTube videos will help introduce you and your class to Mr. Gardner's theory. The first video is for grades K-3. You can watch up to the 3:47 timestamp. The second video is better suited for the 4th and 5th graders. These videos should be viewed at a time that works for you and your child sometime in the month of September.

Motivational Quotes:"Forget conventionalisms; forget what the world thinks of you stepping out of your place; think your best thoughts, speak your best words, work your best works, looking to your own conscience for approval." ~Susan B. Anthony“Probably the biggest insight… is that happiness is not just a place, but also a process. Happiness is an ongoing process of fresh challenges, and it takes the right attitudes and activities to continue to be happy.” –Ed Diener“We shouldn’t teach great books; we should teach a love of reading. Knowing the contents of a few works of literature is a trivial achievement. Being inclined to go on reading is a great achievement.” –B.F. Skinner“Everything can be taken from a man, but the last of the human freedoms: to choose one’s attitudes in any given set of circumstances.” –Viktor Frankl
