HW is important because it helps scholars practice new ideas they are learning in class and reinforces time management skills. It also emphasizes that learning takes place everywhere - including, and especially, at home. 

Scholars all have weekly HW. HW is usually given earlier in the week and is due on Fridays of that week. HW often includes a fluency reading, ongoing project work, and/or comprehension exercises through an online platform, ReadWorks.

Scholars have access to these programs through Schoology or Clever. 

HW needs to be completed the week it is assigned. There is no makeup HW. If a scholar is absent on Friday, they can hand in any HW when they return or complete online.

Scholars have weekly HW assignments that are distributed on the first day of the week and are due the last day of the week.
