I am so happy to be at McKinley Elementary for the third year! After two years as a K-2 Learning Support teacher, I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year.
The best way to reach me is by email. Please click here to send an email.
I am looking forward to the 2024-2025 school year.
Be here. Be safe. Be kind.
Dear Families,
Tuesday, January 21, 2025 is a Flexible Instruction Day
Last week a packet was sent home with all kindergarten students in case of a Flexible Instruction Day due to snow or cold temperatures. Please check your child's back pack for the packet originally sent home last Tuesday just in case. Some students completed packets early and returned them. I have those packets safely at school. If your child did not complete a packet and you cannot find it in their back pack, an extra one will be sent home when they return. Students have three days to complete the packet and return to school to be considered present for the Flexible Instruction Day.
Please stay warm and safe. Below are a few Youtube links to practice letter sounds, counting to 1-10, and a couple of fun winter stories. Enjoy and see you soon!

Dear Families,
Wednesday, January 22, 2025 is another Flexible Instruction Day
Please flip your student's packet over and use the blank sides to complete the following assignments or use any piece of paper you have at home:
1. Have your child write their name five times each. Students, try your very best.
2. In Knowledge, we have been talking about the animals and crops we may find on a farm. Please have your child draw a picture of a farm. Encourage them to add detail by using different colors or even just a pencil.
3. Practice writing the numbers 1-10 three times each. Parents, you may need to write the numbers at the top of the page. Everyone knows how to count objects to 10, but many students need some practice writing the numbers.
Below are a few fun links to practice letter sounds, counting, and listen to a fun winter story.
