Welcome to 4th Grade!

My name is Mr. Hoffman, and I am the 4th Grade Learning Support Teacher at McKinley Elementary School. I am beyond excited about being in 4th grade again this year. I look forward to working with your child to help them achieve their goals. This is year 8 of teaching for me. I started my career at the Robert Benjamin Wiley Charter School and moved to the district the year after. I also work afterschool at the JFK Center. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/ Special Education in 2017 from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. I finished my Masters Degree in Special Education (Gifted and Talented, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Autism Spectrum Disorder) in  August 2020. I am also a Licensed Behavioral Specialist by the state of Pennsylvania and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).  

In my spare time, I am also very involved with local theatre in Erie. I serve as the Operations Manager at Dramashop and have am the Coordinator for the Voices for Independence Theatre Club. I live with my cat Fabio.

I cannot wait to work with students in Mrs. Miller's, Mr. Ross' or Mrs. Saez's rooms. Do not hesitate to email me with any questions or concerns regarding your child.
