Some activities to do at home:
- Interviews - interview family members about their musical background and interests. Ask what their favorite song is right now and why. Ask what instruments they play or have played. Ask what music means to them. Ask who their favorite artists are.
- Listening log - write down any music you hear each day. Where did you hear it? Did you like it? Why or why not?
- Find 3 things in your house that you could use as a musical instrument. How does it work? What does it sound like?

MUSIC
Perform a song of your choice for your family.
Did your performance go well? How do you know?
TECHNOLOGY
Find a recipe to make. It’s an algorithm, steps to follow to do something. Computers follow algorithms. Can you do the steps out of order? Why or why not?
ART
Draw what your favorite teacher/staff member would look like as an alien.
P.E.
Vertical Jump
Jump as high as you can for 30 seconds. Repeat.
MUSIC
Write a song online using the Song Maker on Chrome Music Lab:
TECHNOLOGY
Talk about a time you showed persistence. What was hard to do? Why didn’t you quit even though it was hard?

Draw and color a picture of an object using your favorite color.

Wall Sit
Find an empty space on the wall and pretend to be sitting in a chair. Hold for 30 seconds. Repeat two more times
MUSIC
Interview a family member. Ask them about their favorite music and why it is their favorite.

Scavenger hunt:
Find all the things in your house that use programs. Programs are steps that can be run by a machine. How do these things use programs to work?

Find all the colors of the rainbow in your home. Start with red and end with purple!

Power Knees
Bring hands over your head and have your hands and left knee meet in the middle as fast as you can. Repeat 10 times on each leg.
MUSIC
Pick a song and practice showing the steady beat. Have someone at home copy and follow your motions!
TECHNOLOGY
Talk about loops. A loop is the action of doing something again and again. Computer programs use loops all the time. What do you loop in your life? Explain.
ART
Look out the window and draw what you see.

Jab twice with your right fist then punch across your body with your left. Complete 10 times then switch sides.
