PFEIFFER-BURLEIGH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Pfeiffer-Burleigh Elementary, a United Way community school 

Pfeiffer-Burleigh Elementary launched the community school initiative at our school in 2016-17. Community schools are a strategy for organizing school and community resources around student success. Its integrated focus on academics, services, supports and opportunities leads to improved student success, stronger families and healthier communities. 

In Erie County, each community school is supported through the implementation of a community school director who works directly at the school, a Corporate Partner, a Lead Partner, as well as United Way of Erie County as the back-bone organization. In addition to the support provided by United Way of Erie County, at Pfeiffer-Burleigh our Corporate Partner is Erie Insurance and Lead Partner is Family Services of NWPA.
