ELA- 04/01/2020-04/08/2020 Go to the Web Resource tab, click on System 44, and sign in. Work on System 44 for at least 30 minutes a day to improve your reading skills.
ELA- 03/26/2020-03/31/2020 Go to the Web Resource tab, click on ReadWorks, and sign in. Then read the article of the day, "Ways Different Animals Live" and provide a written summary of at least 3 sentences. Make a list of any words that you do not understand and email me with any questions.
ELA- 03/23/2020-03/25/2020 Go to the Web Resource tab, click on EPIC, then read the book, "Bears Hibernate." Read the book and answer the following questions by e-mailing me.
1. What does it mean to hibernate?
2. If a hibernating bear is disturbed, it takes him a few minutes to wake up. Why is that?
3. Polar bears are hunters and eat mostly meat. They can find food all year long. Do you think they hibernate?
4. At what time of year is a hibernating bear's weight the highest?
In addition to Epic, I have added multiple levels of ELA assignments for you to look at. You are to choose the level of packet that you are most comfortable working on independently. You have four different options of completing these packets.
1. If you have a printer at home, you may print the packet that you chose to complete.
2. If you do not have a printer at home, you can use a paper and pencil and complete the comprehension questions and math problems on a separate piece of paper.
3. You can go to any of the schools during food distribution and ask for the packet that you have chosen to complete and take it home with you. (I recommend getting at least 2 levels to have at home)
If you have any questions during completion of these packets you may email me with your questions and I will go through it with you.

Math- 04/01/2020-04/08/2020: Continue to work on Math Prodigy for at least 30 minutes a day. Your second math packet should be completed by April 08.
Math 03/26/2020-03/31/2020: Continue to work on Math Prodigy for at least 30 minutes a day. Your first math packet should be completed by March 31.
During the school closure, we will be using Math Prodigy and District Packets for Math.
If you forgot your username/password, please email me and I will send it.
Math Prodigy places you on your current math level. In order to have questions read aloud, please click on the speaker icon. You can also click on the hint icon for examples of the math problem you are trying to answer.

Social Studies 04/01/2020-04/08/2020- Go to the Web Resources tab, Click on CNN10, watch the video daily, and e-mail me at least 3 summary sentences on the topics of the day.
Social Studies 03/26/2020-03/31/2020: Go to the Web Resources tab, click on ReadWorks, and sign in using the class code provided. Read the article, "The Great Sphinx" at least 3 times. Once you have read the article at least 3 times answer the questions and complete the vocabulary activity. (Your results are sent directly to me.)
03/23/20-03/25/2020 In the continuation of our study of Africa, go to the Web Resources tab, click on EPIC, and read the book, "Explore Africa." (Follow the login instructions.) While reading, if you are unsure of a word, click on it and it will say it. You may want to read several times and take notes, like you are required to do in class, before answering the quiz questions.
DAILY Activity 03/23/2020- : Go to the Web Resources tab, click on CNN10, then watch CNN 10 each day and e-mail me at least 3 summary sentences. Please e-mail me any questions you may have about the news broadcast.

Science 04/01/2020-04/08/2020- Go to the Web Resources tab, click on GIZMO, and complete any of the assigned labs to get more failiar with GIZMOS.
Science 03/26/2020-03/31/2020- Go to the Web Resources tab, click on ReadWorks, and sign in using the class code. Read the article, "What Lives in a Pond" at least 3 times. After you have completed reading the article 3 times, answer the questions and complete the vocabulary activity.
03/23/2020-03/25/2020- For continuing review of "Organisms," go to the Web Resources tab, click on the EPIC icon, and read the book "Living or Nonliving." Please read the book at least 3 times and take notes. Finally, take the quiz.
